DineSafe participated in and spoke at the Data & AI in Food Safety Workshop, held as part of the 130th Annual Educational Conference of the Association of Food and Drug Officials on June 5, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. The event brought together leaders from government, academia, and industry to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in food safety.

The Association of Food and Drug Officials is an international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing food safety through regulatory collaboration, policy development, and education. Its Annual Educational Conference continues to serve as a key forum for regulators, industry professionals, and public health experts focused on protecting consumers and strengthening food safety systems

The workshop featured a distinguished panel of experts from across the food safety sector. Patrick Quade, Founder and CEO of Dinesafe, led the session and spoke alongside Jorge A. Hernandez. Additional contributors included Carrie Rigdon, Andrew Kennedy, and Barbara Kowalcyk. The discussion underscored the value of collaboration between industry leaders, regulators, and data-driven platforms in advancing food safety practices.

During the workshop, Patrick highlighted how real-time consumer-generated data can complement traditional food safety systems by helping identify potential outbreaks more quickly and supporting faster response efforts. Participants also explored the expanding role of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics in improving surveillance, traceability, and decision-making throughout the food supply chain.

The session provided attendees with valuable insights into the future of data-driven food safety and the opportunities for technology and collaboration to strengthen public health protection.
