Dinesafe is looking forward to participating in and speaking at the upcoming Data & AI in Food Safety Workshop, organized as part of the Association of Food and Drug Officials Annual Educational Conference on June 5th, 2026 at Hyatt Regency Columbus in Ohio. The event brings together leaders across government, academia, and industry to address evolving challenges in food safety.
The Association of Food and Drug Officials is an international, non-profit organization at the forefront of streamlining and simplifying food safety regulations through policy development and collaboration. Its Annual Educational Conference remains one of the most important gatherings in the field, convening regulators, industry leaders, and innovators focused on protecting public health.
The session brings together an authoritative group of experts across sectors. Notably, Patrick Quade, Founder & CEO of IWaspoisoned, will be conducting the workshop and speaking alongside Jorge A. Hernandez, VP of Quality Assurance at The Wendy’s Company. This collaboration highlights the growing importance of cross-sector dialogue—where industry leaders and data-driven platforms align to improve food safety outcomes. Additional contributors include Carrie Rigdon, Andrew Kennedy, and Barbara Kowalcyk, among others.
During the session, Patrick will highlight how real-time, consumer-generated data can enhance traditional food safety systems by enabling faster detection of potential outbreaks and improving response times. The workshop will also explore the growing role of artificial intelligence and advanced data tools in strengthening surveillance, traceability, and decision-making across the food ecosystem.
Professionals across food safety, public health, and regulatory sectors are encouraged to attend and engage in this important discussion on the future of data-driven food safety. Register Now
